Open Until Filled: Yes Job Summary: INSTRUCTOR Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Position: The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia invites applicants for a non-tenure track full-time instructor position. The position is an academic year appointment (9 months) with an opportunity to supplement salary during the summer. The anticipated starting date for the position is August 2018. Responsibilities: Applicants must have preferably a doctorate degree and at minimum a master level degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or a closely related field. A track record of successful and innovative teaching in epidemiology and/or biostatistics at the undergraduate or introductory graduate level is required. The candidate is expected to have a commitment to developing and using innovative teaching approaches to optimize student learning and engagement. Previous experience in coordinating and supervising graduate student teaching is preferred. The successful candidate will teach 4-5 courses or sections per semester in introductory and intermediate biostatistics and/or epidemiology at the undergraduate level. Student mentoring is also expected.
